YouthfulCities is looking for a full-time project manager to join our small but mighty team! YouthfulCities is a social enterprise making cities more youthful and delivers a variety of unique, civic-minded projects. The project manager role works on a diverse range of YouthfulCities programs, including our innovation experiences, the 30Lab and Summit as well as supporting research projects, such as our Index. We are looking for a project manager to hit the ground running to coordinate our Future of Urban Work Summit as well as other programs in the pipeline. This role is based in our Toronto office. It is a 3-month contract focused on planning our Future of Urban Work Summit, with opportunity for extension. Salary range: $4000-$5000/month based on experience. 4+ years of experience required.


Job Duties: 

  • Project Management: Manage the delivery of innovation programs across Canada. This includes managing project planning, logistics, deadlines and budget; running participant recruitment; curating and managing the participant experience; other duties as needed.

  • Event Planning: Be the go-to-person for YouthfulCities events and summit. Help with vendor coordination, ensuring participants know where to go, event registration, event set-up. 

  • Design thinking and facilitation: Knowledge of design thinking processes and innovation techniques. Experience facilitating groups through modules and creative workshops. 

  • Communication: Design and maintain YouthfulCities website and social media presence. This includes creating and curating content for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter; designing graphics and visuals; managing YouthfulCities website and creating marketing/promotional materials for YouthfulCities programs. 

  • Research and Reporting: Support research activities for YouthfulCities Index and Survey programs, coordinate logistics and payments of researchers, assist with writing and editing of research reports. 

  • Proposal Writing: Experience in writing and editing funding proposal for government funding and sponsorship opportunities. 

  • Travel: Must be available the week of October 16 - 20 to travel to Edmonton for the Future of Urban Work Summit. Opportunity for further travel, as needed for projects. 

  • Bonuses:

  • Bilingual in French and English. 

  • Survey and data analysis experience.

  • Ability to work closely with senior colleagues.

  • Interest in urban issues.
