After a short recap of what everyone learned last session with mentors, we began brainstorming housing related ideas.
Based on session 2’s housing impacted audience brainstorm, we further narrowed down to some specific potential audience groups, including newcomers, first time renter, people with unique needs, start-up junkies, and people experiencing discrimination. Within these audience groups, the cohort put down more than 300 ideas and solutions that may make a difference for the housing reality in Halifax.
After two rounds of elimination, 300 ideas were condensed into 10 rough concepts. then each participant picked the idea they would like to work on for the next two weeks.
Finally, 7 concepts won our participant’s attention, and 7 teams were formed based on the common interest. We spend the last hour of this session explore the possibilities of each concept.
